The series Aynadaki Yabancı, starring Onur Tuna, Simay Barlas, and Caner Topçu, which was initially expected to run for up to 12 episodes, has surprised its producers with the low ratings of its sixth episode. As a result, production company MF Yapım has decided to end the show with episode seven to prevent further financial losses.
This makes Aynadaki Yabancı the third series this season to end earlier than planned, following Aşk ve Gözyaşı and Ben Onun Annesiyim.
The combination of high production costs and disappointing ratings has also put several other shows—around five in total—at risk of early cancellation before the new year.
