Bereketli Topraklar, the series led by Engin Akyürek and Gülsim Ali, arrived with big hopes — not only from its creators, but also from viewers. Yet it has now become another project that is wrapping up earlier than planned.
Süreç Film tried to keep the show afloat: the writing team was completely changed, and the director was replaced as well. Despite these efforts, nothing shifted. The ratings of the fourth episode stayed low, just like the previous ones. To avoid taking on more financial losses, the producers decided to close the series with Episode 5. Interestingly, that episode had already been shot before the crew was told that it would be the finale.
Because of this, the story will most likely end abruptly, without a proper resolution.
