Sıla Türkoğlu, one of the leading names of Kızılcık Şerbeti, has announced that she’s leaving the series — marking an important moment in her career.
Producer Faruk Turgut addressed the news with a post on social media:
Our dear actress Sıla Türkoğlu will bid farewell to Kızılcık Şerbeti in episode 113. At the beginning of the season, she wanted to leave, but she continued filming until episode 113 so as not to upset me. I truly believe she will reach even greater success in her career. May your path always be bright.
The actress replied soon after with a message of her own:
Dear Mr. Faruk, I feel it’s my duty to thank you for opening such a beautiful road for me. Our good relationship will always continue, and I hope we’ll share many more wonderful projects together in the future. I also want to thank our entire team for their tireless work day and night.
Before viewers began voicing frustration over the storyline of the new season, it was reportedly planned that Doğa’s journey in the show would end with her running away together with Firaz. However, as the script was later rewritten and the romantic storyline between Doğa and Firaz was dropped, the two characters will now leave the series separately.
