The leading actress for TRT Tabii’s upcoming series Beklenen Mehdi has finally been announced. Su Burcu Yazgı Coşkun has been confirmed for the role of Rana — the female lead opposite Alperen Duymaz in Beklenen Mehdi.
Filming is set to kick off in early November, with the team working on location in Midyat and nearby areas. Rana, Coşkun’s character, is an associate professor at Harran University, specializing in the history of religions. It’s through that work that her path eventually crosses with Ahrar, played by Duymaz.
The part was originally offered to Bensu Soral, but the agreement reportedly fell through during the final stage of talks, leading to her exit from the production.
