Alya is shattered after coming face-to-face with the past she has been running from for so long. Cihan sees the state she is in, admits he has never seen her like this before, and it frightens him. Alya tells Cihan what she lived through as a child: how she grew up with her biological mother, and how she eventually ended up in a new family. Trying to support his wife, Cihan explains why he chose the phoenix pendant for her. He compares her to that bird and says that no matter what trials are ahead, she will rise again.
Alya does not want to see Fikriye and is not ready to let her back into her life. Cihan decides to set this “problem” aside for now and books Fikriye a hotel room, sending her away from the house. But in the morning, Sadakat turns it into a public humiliation. She starts a scandal with Alya and, in front of everyone, claims that Alya’s mother used to send her to men. Alya cannot bear it and leaves for work, trying to stay on her feet after that blow.
Alya asks Cihan not to interfere and to let her decide for herself what to do next. She meets her mother and tells her to go back where she came from. Fikriye, expecting a very different reception, tries to convince Alya that she once “saved” her. But Alya sees the past differently: in her eyes, she was not saved, she was sold. The pain breaks through, she cannot hold back tears, and the meeting only deepens the crack inside her.
At the same time, conflicts keep building for the others as well. Şahin sets up a meeting between Zerrin and Kaya, but the conversation between the two lovers falls apart. Kaya tells Şahin that Nare is divorcing her husband. Şahin is glad to hear it and decides to see Nare. And while he still refuses to work with Demir, he is clearly preparing a move against Cihan.
At the hospital, Alya suddenly finds Uğur standing in front of her. He gives her a condition: he will not tell anyone Sadakat’s secret if Alya goes with him to Canada. Alya tells Cihan about it.
Then Fikriye is brought to the hospital, and Alya learns her mother is terminally ill. Now everything becomes even more complicated. Even if Alya does not want to see her, the past still forces its way back into her life through weakness and sickness.
And just when it feels like it cannot get any worse, the next blow comes from another direction. While Alya and Cihan are caught up in their own battles, a bored Deniz runs away. He decides to go to his pony on his own and disappears from the mansion. The search begins. Everyone jumps to the darkest thought first: that Ecmel’s people took him. But Cihan finds out that neither Ecmel nor Uğur has anything to do with Deniz’s disappearance.
The whole family joins the search for the little boy. When Deniz is finally found and it seems the worst is already behind them, the most frightening moment hits: he slips and falls into a cold mountain river with a fast current.
What will Alya do now, when Fikriye is ill but the pain of the past has not gone anywhere? And what will happen to Deniz, a child who ends up alone against raging water?
