Early Life
Rabia Soytürk is a Turkish actress born on January 26, 1999, in Istanbul. Her family’s roots are in Trabzon, on Turkey’s Black Sea coast, and because her parents worked full time, she was largely raised by her grandparents.
She attended a health-focused vocational high school and trained in nursing before going on to study architecture at Istanbul Arel University. She eventually stepped back from her studies to pursue acting, training at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Center and Craft Theater in Istanbul.
Career
Soytürk made her television debut in 2018, appearing in Şahsiyet alongside veteran actors Haluk Bilginer and Cansu Dere, as well as in Gülperi and Persona that same year. In 2019, she took the lead role in the film Özgür Dünya and joined the cast of the TRT1 series Benim Adım Melek (My Name Is Melek).
Between 2021 and 2022, she played Karaca in 24 episodes of the historical drama Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu (Alparslan: The Great Seljuks). Her breakout role followed soon after: she was cast as Ekim Güleryüz in 17 episodes of Duy Beni (Hear Me), a Star TV series that gave her a much larger audience and remains the role she’s most recognized for.
In 2023, she played the lead, Aslı, in the Kanal D drama Veda Mektubu (Farewell Letter) opposite Emre Kıvılcım, staying with the show through its finale that August. She has since taken on a leading role in the long-running TRT1 series Teşkilat, and has appeared in more than 100 television episodes over the course of her career so far.
Personal Life
Soytürk’s personal life gets regular coverage from Turkish entertainment outlets, particularly since Duy Beni made her a familiar face. During the show’s run, she was rumored to be dating her co-star Caner Topçu, though she later downplayed any real closeness between them, and the two have since had a public falling-out over comments he made about her in interviews. Around the same period, she was also briefly linked to the rapper Sefo; she denied dating him and said the two were only friends. A 2023 relationship with YouTuber Fester Abdü (real name Ali Abdüsselam Yılmaz) was also widely reported at the time, though it didn’t last.
